Competition law

We advise our aviation, marine, insurance, trade & retail clients on merger control, abuse of dominant position, antitrust and state aid, as well as in relation to other unfair competition matters.

Competition law is an increasingly important aspect of international trade, and is important in the transport and (re)insurance industries generally. We assist our clients in complying with the relevant regulations, and are able to represent them in any proceedings before regulators and courts, should the need arise.

In our aviation and marine practices we advise and represent our clients in relation to:

  • strategic alliances
  • code-share agreements
  • state aid
  • consortia, shipping and freight-pooling arrangements

In the areas of Insurance and Reinsurance we assist our clients in the drafting of insurance contract/policy wording, for example with regard to pools or outsourcing arrangements.

Data theft

We advised a Swiss company with regard to data theft and unlawful use of customer data.
